I was driving downtown this morning and decided to take the lake route. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and all the boats were in the harbor.
I feel like I’m writing a poem right now haha, but anyways-
Looking at the city in front of me and the gorgeous lake right next to me made me think about how grateful I am to live in such a beautiful city with so many amazing people and opportunities.
So I encourage you all to take a moment to appreciate your surroundings. No matter where you may be right now in your life, taking time to express gratitude will always benefit you in one way or another.
I’ve talked a lot about how busy I’ve been lately and how I haven’t been super consistent with my workouts.
Well- I’m going to be honest...
I didn’t want to post this workout because I felt weak and “out of shape” for lack of better words. I’m not out of shape by any means, but since I haven’t been consistent in the gym or with my diet, my performance isn’t where it usually is.
But- I’m here to share my journey. I’m here to show you all that we can’t be perfect. Don’t let yourself get discouraged if you wander off your path for a little bit. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and lead yourself back in the direction you want to go.
I was going to train back today, but I decided to lift upper body instead.
Here’s what went down-
▪️Straight arm pulldown with rope: 4x15
▪️Straight arm pulldown with rope off to the side: 4x15 (each side)
▪️High cable row: 4x12 (1:1:3)
*Drop set last set*
▪️Bent over reverse grip BB row: 15, 15, 12, 12, 10, 10
▪️Overhead tricep extensions: 3x15
▪️Cable bicep curls with rope: 3x15
*Drop set last set*
▪️BB overhead press: 4x10-12
▪️Wide grip EZ-Bar bicep curls: 3x21 (7 top half, 7 bottom half, 7 full range)
▪️One arm reverse-grip tricep extension: 4x12 (each arm)
